Binance Smart Chain Testnet

• Open Metamask

• Select the Menu icon on the top left of the app

• Press ⚙️ Settings

• Select Networks

• Press “Add Network”

  • Network Name: BSC Testnet

  • RPC Url: https://data-seed-prebsc-1-s1.binance.org:8545/

  • Chain ID: 97

  • Symbol: BNB

  • Block Explorer Url: https://testnet.bscscan.com

Make a transaction on the Testnet

In order to make a transaction on the testnet, you first have to add some BNB to your testnet wallet.

• To copy your BSC address, select your address in the blue highlight under “Account 1” in the top middle of the app.

• Go to the Binance Smart Chain Testnet Faucet and paste your address to get some free testnet BNB.

• Select the “Give me BNB” dropdown, and select the amount that you want. (Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get real BNB like this?)

• Your free testnet BNB should hit your Metamask wallet shortly.

Congratulations, you just configured your Metamask wallet for the Binance Smart Chain testnet and completed your first transaction. You’re now ready to interact with the Binance Smart Chain testnet!
